The support paper of FourColor (multicolor) or OneColor (1 single color) transfer must absolutely be removed when the material where it was applied has cooled down. When the material is handled when it is hot and the paper moves, there’s a chance that the transfer sides unstick. To solve this risk, we recommend you to pass a clean cloth and press on the transfer paper right after the heatpress opens and before manipulating the material.
If the transfer is “sucked up” when the press heating plate opens, it is possible to use a protection such as baking paper or nonwoven paper.
Printmytransfer screen-printed transfers can be put on most nylon and windbreaker items. However, you must do tests before any production. The application conditions are different depending on the materials. Usually, you have to press between 120°C and 140°C during 15 to 25 seconds, but on some items, the application has to be done at 105°C for 5 seconds. Don’t hesitate to test different times and temperatures and ask for demonstration transfers for your tests. In every case, the paper has to be removed when it is cold.
It depends on the item and the transfer type you chose. On softshell, there is often a problem of color bleeding of support tye through the transfer, especially on black and red items. You must imperatively make the following test : apply the transfer at 130°C for 25 seconds and place it near a heating source (radiator, sunny place...) for several days to speed up this possible phenomenon. If you don’t notice any color change in the following days, you can reproduce the application on your other materials. If you notice a change, then, the chosen screen-printed transfer is not adapted.
Our SubliStop transfer was especially made to avoid the possible sublimation raising that can be observed on softshell and sublimated polyester clothes. We recommend you to opt for this sort of screen-printed transfer.
Our teams don’t retouch your files.
